The house from 1905, which served as a family house with a photo studio until 1949, has preserved the original equipment (photo chamber, stands, curtains, photographic equipment, etc.), but especially about 140,000 glass plates, as well as celluloid tapes with negatives. The heritage also includes albums of photographs and postcards, documenting the work of Josef and František Seidel, especially in the field of landscaping (so-called "maps"). All this forms a unique set of period images. However, the well-preserved rich studio work is also very interesting. This rare "archive" from the end of the 19th and the middle of the 20th century is equipped with detailed documentation, such as the names and addresses of the persons portrayed, accounts, lists, etc.
During the unique tour, you will see many not only from the world of photography but also a picture of life in the Šumava, the Czech-Austrian-German border at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and in the first half of the 20th century. All this and many more await you at the Seidel Photo Studio Museum.

The participants can use the photo studio for their own photographs for approximately 1 hour - To take pictures is possible, please respect the guide's instructions.
